Economic Restructuring Committee

What does the ERC do?

Economic Restructuring is business development. The Economic Restructuring Committee (ERC) identifies new market opportunities for the downtown business district, finds new uses for historic buildings, and stimulates investment in the downtown. Rather than looking for the “big fix”, we focus on incremental changes that will improve the area’s economic foundation and make more large-scale investment possible.

What can we do for you?

  • Want to learn how historic tax credits can be used to offset your rehabilitation costs?
  • Looking to develop the upper floors of your building into loft apartments?
  • Need help in understanding how to market your business?
  • Trying to find a tenant for a vacant space in your building?
  • Seeking to start a new business in downtown?

These are only a few examples of how the Economic Restructuring Committee can help you with your business or property.  We can provide direct assistance through local experts or the State Main Street Program, or we can guide you to the proper resources. We will meet with you to evaluate your project and develop a plan that suits your individual needs. And our services are free!

To schedule an appointment with someone from the Economic Restructuring Committee or to find out more about our services, please contact Sharon Hurst, ERC Chair, at 918.214.8500 ext. 1, or email us at .
